Work-in-progress recipe for making actually good taco seasoning from stuff I have at home.
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon ground paprika
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon corn starch
- ⅔ cup of water
This is for use with 1 pound of browned ground turkey. Obviously, double it for two pounds.
September ’26: First version is a little heavy on the salt and chili powder, and maybe a little light on the cumin and oregano. It tastes too salty and not very savory.
